Our take on Tchunk
The calming tone and open-world framing foreground wandering and atmosphere, while the central progression depends on clues, missions, and a route to another world. The store text gives less detail about the structure, variety, or scale of those missions.
What is Tchunk?
Play as a wiener dog exploring an island in an open-world adventure.
Run, jump, and swim at an individual pace while meeting animals who live there and may provide guidance. Clues and missions gradually reveal the character’s identity and location, while also opening a route to another world. The story draws on real events and focuses on a feeling associated with pet ownership. Progress grants control over the time of day, allowing exploration beneath northern lights or a setting sun. Movement includes reaching elevated locations such as a watchtower and an ocean-side hill. The game also includes an atmospheric soundtrack built from acoustic guitar and synthesizer pieces.
