What is Takorita Meets Fries?
Princess Takorita lives in an underwater kingdom where soup is the everyday meal.
Dissatisfied with that tradition, she travels to the surface with the merman Mer, who serves as her guard. There, she meets the humans Dino and Ina and encounters french fries for the first time. The visual novel follows her attempts to make the dish tastier, alongside discoveries about surface culture and a search involving her grandfather. It includes animated characters, animated interface elements, four routes, three endings, and one bonus epilogue. The game is mostly without voice acting, and language can be changed in the Options menu. It includes romance-related nuances and scenes with BL- or Yuri-like elements, but is not an otome game.
