Our take on Sword of the Sea
Instead of using traversal mainly to connect conventional adventure locations, the game makes surfing its central movement system. The Hoversword combines surf, skate, and snowboard-style motion, turning waves, ramps, and wall rides into the main structure for exploration and tricks.
What is Sword of the Sea?
Sword of the Sea is an atmospheric adventure following the Wraith, who awakens in the Necropolis and searches for an ancient ocean buried beneath the land.
The Hoversword provides the main form of movement, combining traits associated with surfing, snowboarding, and skateboarding. Players build speed across sandy waves, launch from crests, and perform flips, spins, and grabs around ramps, halfpipes, and wall rides. The journey passes through sandy deserts, glacial mountains, sinking tombs, and ruins connected to a lost culture. As the quest advances, sandy dunes become emerald waters and returning sealife appears in large shoals. Exploration, environmental secrets, fast traversal, and a spiritual story about nature and darkness shape the adventure.
