Our take on Survival Driver
Its defining structure is the time limit on each track: missing the deadline sends the player back to race that course again.
What is Survival Driver?
Survival Driver is a minimalistic vehicle game about completing tracks within limited time.
If a level is not finished before the deadline, the track must be raced again. The game includes two bikes and two cars: a sport bike intended for speed, a crossbike that can jump and travel through difficult areas such as mountains, and two cars. Vehicle movement does not use realistic physics, and gravity works differently from normal gravity. The game contains 20 tracks and bike sound effects. Partial controller support is described as part of the game’s planned contents.
How Survival Driver plays
- 01Timed track runs
- Missing a level’s time limit requires another attempt on that track.
- 02Four vehicle types
- The roster contains two bikes and two cars, including a fast sport bike and a jump-capable crossbike.
- 03Unconventional physics
- The game uses non-realistic vehicle physics and an unusual gravity system.
- 04Twenty tracks
- The game includes 20 tracks to complete within time limits.
Survival Driver compared to similar games
Barro focuses on small-car racing with arcade, time-trial, and split-screen multiplayer modes, while Survival Driver uses two bikes, two cars, and timed track completion. KartKraft™ centers on kart racing, including a KartKross vehicle and the Brentomonte track, rather than Survival Driver’s mix of four vehicle types and 20 tracks.
