Our take on Super Crane Bug
Rather than keeping one stable matching rule, the game changes tile movement through a rotating set of tools. That makes the central convention of match-three play—planning around predictable board manipulation—part of the challenge itself.
What is Super Crane Bug?
Super Crane Bug is a retro tile-matching game about a bug working with falling pieces.
Create groups of matching colors for points as additional tiles arrive; the session ends when the board has no room left. Tool pieces grant bonuses and change movement rules, including horizontal swaps, pushing, rotating a 2x2 section, random relocation, horizontal shifting, and movement-based position exchanges. Advanced Mode doubles scoring and introduces debris with varied effects. Zen Mode maintains a steady speed while gradually reducing the score. Play with either icon-based tiles or colored blobs.
How Super Crane Bug plays
- 01Rotating movement tools
- Matching special pieces cycles through six tile-moving methods, including swaps, pushing, throwing, and 2x2-area manipulation.
- 02Advanced Mode debris
- Advanced Mode adds EMPTY, DIRTY, BOMB, FREEZE, and PRISM pieces that can occupy space, reveal colors, scatter tiles, stop time, or clear areas.
- 03Zen practice mode
- Zen Mode keeps the game from speeding up and continuously reduces the score toward 0.
- 04Two visual styles
- The board can use colored blobs or squared tile icons.
