Our take on Strayed Lights
Its defining mechanic is the color-shifting parry: attacks are repelled by switching between blue and orange to match the incoming threat, turning defense into the route for counterattacks.
What is Strayed Lights?
Strayed Lights is a wordless action-adventure set in a dreamlike world shaped by corruption and shadows.
Players control a newborn flame seeking to recover its stolen light while confronting creatures warped by their emotions. Combat centers on matching enemy colors: shifting between blue and orange lets the flame repel attacks and answer with finishing strikes. The journey includes encounters with rogue siblings and hostile beings across forests, canyons, caves, and mist-covered lands. Progression grants new abilities as the light grows brighter. The game presents its story without spoken dialogue and uses an original soundtrack by Austin Wintory to accompany its cinematic presentation.
