Skip it if you…

Our take on Stranded
The bounce point arrives at death: all run progress is discarded, sending the player back to a zero-state start. That reset sits after the gathering, base construction, equipment upgrades and skill development, so players who need permanent advancement may stop there.
What is Stranded?
Stranded is a 2D action roguelike built around exploration, resource gathering, construction and character progression.
Each run takes place across randomly generated levels. Starting without equipment or materials, players collect available resources, establish bases, improve gear and develop skills while confronting enemy hordes and villages. Allies can be hired to support the growing settlement. Death resets the run completely, requiring a new start from the beginning. The game combines combat with repeated collection and creation systems, placing survival and long-term development within a run-based structure.
How Stranded plays
- 01Randomized Levels
- Each run uses procedurally created 2D environments for exploration.
- 02Base Construction
- Collected materials can be used to establish bases during a run.
- 03Character Development
- Facing enemies provides a route to improving equipment and skills.
- 04Ally Recruitment
- Players can hire allies as part of developing their position.
- 05Full Death Reset
- Dying removes run progress and returns the next attempt to the starting state.
Stranded compared to similar games
Stranded combines procedural exploration, resource collection, base construction, ally hiring and character development with a complete reset on death. Abyssus instead centers on multiplayer shooting across hand-crafted levels, with weapons that can be refitted using ancient technologies.
