Our take on Steelborn
The mix of robot combat and on-foot exploration gives the action different modes, but it also asks players to shift between fighting and searching rather than staying focused on one combat style.
What is Steelborn?
Steelborn is a run-and-gun platformer about Major, sent to investigate a remote colony on the planet VL-744.
Travel through a large world in a combat robot or leave it behind to explore concealed areas and uncover secrets. Combat takes place both inside and outside the robot, with a jetpack, five kinds of firearms, and a katana available. The planet’s hostile creatures include large bosses that require different approaches to defeat. The story follows Major’s assignment as events become less straightforward, with dialogue and plot twists. An original soundtrack accompanies exploration and combat.
