Our take on Spoxel
The defining mechanic is a scratch-based spell editor: rune combinations are assembled into custom spells, including effects for resource mining and enemy teleportation.
What is Spoxel?
Spoxel combines exploration, crafting, base building, and combat across an infinite world with varied biomes and other dimensions.
Players gather materials and items to create weapons and armor, then alter crafted pieces through movement, rotation, scaling, and dyeing to produce different traits and abilities. A scratch-based interface lets players assemble custom spells from rune combinations, with uses ranging from automated mining to teleporting enemies into lava pits. The game also includes base construction, resource gathering, loot hunting, and battles against otherworlders who have driven the grounders below the surface. Exploration can focus on seeking power, collecting loot, or finding unusual discoveries such as a chicken sandwich.
