Our take on Soulbringer
The bounce point is the combat and magic setup: players who want one fixed, immediately defined play style may hesitate when the system offers simpler and more complex approaches.
What is Soulbringer?
As a young traveler heading to see his uncle in Madrigal, the protagonist is drawn into the legacy of Harbinger, a heroic sorcerer who once overcame six demonic rulers known as the Revenants.
The journey reaches Thardolin’s former empire, Talendrah’s abandoned city, scorched deserts, frozen plains, and other lands beyond Madrigal. Along the way, answers must be found among both the living and the dead. Players can adjust combat and spellcasting to suit a straightforward or more involved approach. The adventure features an unpredictable narrative, changing musical accompaniment, spoken performances, and multiple endings. Its main objective is to face the Revenants and send their spirits back to the Well.
