Our take on Solaroids
Rather than keeping the arcade shooter structure to solo score-chasing, Solaroids adds local co-op and competitive arena play. Ship attachments, weapon choices, and hazards within asteroid belts also shape encounters beyond basic asteroid dodging.
What is Solaroids?
Solaroids is a 2D arcade space shooter built around defending a solar system from an advancing threat.
Progress through levels that grow from introductory encounters into larger battles, dodging asteroids, mines, and missiles while fighting enemies and bosses with distinct attack patterns and weaknesses. Weapons include primary, secondary, and defensive options, and ship upgrades add outrider attachments that can be damaged or lost. Play solo, cooperate against enemy waves, or compete in a local combat arena with up to 3 friends. Players can join during a session, and settings include friendly fire, collisions, control styles, and visual effects that emulate arcade machines or retro consoles. The game is in Early Access.
