Our take on Sol 0: Mars Colonization
The defining structure is a progression from a single exploratory rover to an independent Martian settlement, with survival depending on coordinated food, water, oxygen, energy, and resource systems.
What is Sol 0: Mars Colonization?
Establish the first human settlement on Mars in a real-time strategy simulation.
Begin with an exploratory rover, then use minerals and other surface resources to expand the colony. The settlement requires food, water, oxygen, electricity, and natural-resource collection, while meteorite impacts and dust storms create additional hazards. Build habitats, extract water, grow food, generate power, operate mines, and develop increasingly complex bases. Different regions, including ice caps, lava plains, and arid equatorial areas, present distinct challenges. Maps are randomly generated for varied sessions, and the included Map Editor allows custom maps to be created and shared with other players.
