Our take on Sleepless Night
The bounce point is the need to follow several different monster rules during the night. Players may hit a wall when feeding, hiding, watching, light control, and sleep all become part of the same survival routine.
What is Sleepless Night?
Play as a child facing three monsters during the night.
The goal is to survive until morning by responding to each creature’s behavior. Feed the monster beneath the bed, then turn off the light because it tolerates brightness only briefly. Hide from the monster in the hallway, and keep watching the monster that turns the light red. Sleep is also necessary, although weariness feeds the creature beneath the bed. A mysterious child leaves notes that provide help during the recurring nightmares. The child is afraid of darkness and sleeps better with the light on, creating a conflict between comfort and the conditions needed to deal with the monster under the bed.
How Sleepless Night plays
- 01Three Monster Behaviors
- The creatures require different responses, including feeding one, hiding from another, and watching the one that changes the light.
- 02Light Management
- The light must be turned off for the creature beneath the bed, while the child prefers sleeping with it on.
- 03Sleep And Weariness
- Rest is part of the night, but fatigue feeds the monster under the bed.
- 04Mysterious Notes
- A child leaves messages intended to provide assistance during the nightmares.
