Our take on Sin and Love
Rather than using a fixed fantasy setting, the game ties its roguelike structure to Tang Dynasty-inspired history, Chinese folklore, and moon phases that change the threats encountered during each run.
What is Sin and Love?
Sin and Love is a dark narrative roguelike set during an imagined Tang-era world.
Its protagonist is the poisoned princess of the destroyed Stone Kingdom, brought back to seek vengeance. Each attempt crosses five realms, from the Underworld’s waterways and old Chinese streets to the remains of her homeland. Lunar cycles alter the setting: demons appear when the moon is full, while a new moon gives human evil a physical presence. Players can alternate among three weapons and combine over 100 relics and offerings with 15 Spirit Characters. More than 100 elemental abilities span five schools. Decisions, riddles, ceremonies, encounters with historical figures, and elemental formations influence the course and conclusion of every run.

Sin and Love compared to similar games
Quasimorph is also a high-stakes roguelike, but places its runs in a cyberpunk and cosmic-horror setting built around corporate contracts and extracting resources for a PMC. Sin and Love instead centers on a poisoned princess, Tang Dynasty-inspired mythology, branching moral choices, 5 realms, and combat builds using relics, Spirit Characters, and elemental skills.
