Our take on SIMULACRA
The listing foregrounds realism, live actors, and hours of narrative, while the main interaction is still browsing a simulated phone and solving recurring image and text decryption puzzles. Its scope is closer to a focused digital investigation than a broad exploration game.
What is SIMULACRA?
SIMULACRA is a horror investigation presented through the phone of Anna, a missing woman whose video message asks for help.
Players search her messages, emails, photos, dating app, social media, browser, and other phone functions for clues. Conversations with Anna’s friends, damaged files, and recovered data reveal fragments of her final activities. The game uses live actors filmed at real locations, alongside voice performances. Recurring image and text decryption puzzles provide another way to uncover information. The narrative can lead to five different endings, with the phone interface forming the main structure for exploring Anna’s life and reconstructing what happened to her.
