Our take on Sherlock Holmes The Awakened
Rather than keeping Holmes within rational crime-solving, the story places him against an entity that defies reason and makes his own sanity part of the investigation. It also frames the mystery as the origin of Holmes and Watson's partnership, set before they become a famous duo.
What is Sherlock Holmes The Awakened?
Set in 1882, this adventure follows Sherlock Holmes and John Watson as roommates before they become a crime-solving duo.
Holmes investigates mysterious disappearances in Europe and the US that appear connected to a cult devoted to an Ancient God. The journey leads through locations including Baker Street, a Swiss psychiatric ward and Louisiana wetlands. As Holmes pursues explanations for the events, he faces an entity beyond rational understanding and struggles with encroaching insanity. This reimagining of the 2008 game rebuilds it with Unreal Engine, modern graphics and animations, an expanded story, side quests and new mechanics, including insanity gameplay. The Deluxe Edition adds the Whispered Dreams side quest pack and wallpapers; the Premium Edition also includes a soundtrack and artbook.
