Our take on Shelter Manager
The pitch foregrounds several possible disasters and the mystery of what happened above ground, but the described play centers on shelter operations, resource gathering, and armed raids. The mystery is presented as a goal, while most of the detail is devoted to managing rooms, civilians, and troops.
What is Shelter Manager?
Shelter Manager is a strategy and simulation game about running a network of underground shelters after a global disaster.
Choose an apocalypse scenario, then use campaign missions to learn bunker management or play in a sandbox. Build shelters and assign rooms, including facilities for food production and scientific experiments. Survivors can loot other bunkers for supplies, while resource spending upgrades rooms and increases the number of civilians a shelter can hold. Manage morale, productivity, food rations, electricity, and sleep schedules, and set a bunker’s focus to work or science. Form an army by choosing soldier types and weapons, then send troops into hostile areas to defend surface resources or attack other bunkers and take their supplies.
