Our take on Shattered Throne
Players who rely on improvisation from random outcomes may bounce off the deterministic combat system. The harder wall arrives when repeated attacks, village improvements, unit experience, and general powers must be coordinated rather than used as isolated actions.
What is Shattered Throne?
Command forces across a fantasy campaign as a young prince facing rival knights, sylvan armies, and undead troops.
The game includes three armies with different play styles and lets players select generals with individual powers and enhancements. Battles use deterministic outcomes, unlimited undos, and a combo mechanic that strengthens repeated attacks against one target. Villages can be upgraded to expand the economy and provide special units or effects, while victorious units gain experience and can become champions or heroes. Alongside the campaign, there are three difficulty levels, puzzle maps, and an AI opponent. Players can also create maps and share them through Steam Workshop.
