Our take on Shadow Prisoner
Simple controls reduce the execution barrier, but that accessibility also leaves less emphasis on demanding manual inputs. The game gives priority to approachable combo play rather than making technical control precision the central challenge.
What is Shadow Prisoner?
Shadow Prisoner is a 2D fighting game built around simple controls and combo play.
A simple mode lets players perform attacks by repeatedly pressing buttons, including those without prior fighting-game experience. The game offers 25 characters, with 9 additional characters planned as free additions and one collaboration character planned as paid DLC. Single-player options include story and survival modes. Versus and network modes support competitive play, with rollback netcode for network matches. The current Steam version also includes April Liars, a separate game without combo mechanics. An additional Steam-exclusive fighting action mode, Epsilon, is planned, featuring firefights with dense bullet barrages.
