Our take on Seraph
Automatic targeting keeps attention on movement and evasion, but gives up the precision-aiming layer found in conventional shooters. Procedural stages add repeat-play variation while sacrificing a fully fixed sequence of encounters.
What is Seraph?
Seraph is an action platformer about an angel fighting through a demon-filled prison while trying to restore her lost power and escape.
Her firearms select targets automatically, shifting combat toward cartwheels, dodges, and rapid reactions. Enemy strength changes with performance, while stronger play also increases potential rewards. Campaign stages use procedural generation, with changing enemies, bosses, and pickups. Players can create weapons, Miracles, and defensive items through Transmutation, then unlock passive Oaths for later encounters. Death reduces Seraph’s maximum health, although hidden checkpoint orbs can preserve a starting point. Twitch mode lets viewers vote on modifiers that alter the game between levels.
How Seraph plays

- 03Procedural Campaigns
- Stages vary through generated layouts containing different pickups, enemies, and bosses.
- 04Item Transmutation

- 05Viewer Modifiers

Seraph compared to similar games
Seraph combines platforming with automatic-targeting gunplay, procedural stages, crafting, and changing enemy difficulty. Sundered: Eldritch Edition is described as a chaotic metroidvania, while Abyssus focuses on multiplayer shooting through hand-crafted levels with weapon modification. Seraph therefore differs through its acrobatic evasion focus and generated campaign structure.
