Our take on Secrets of Arcadia
The broad character-building pitch sits within a compact structure of five dungeons and more than 20 skills. Its clearest differentiators are class-free equipment and local co-op, rather than a large exploration-focused campaign.
What is Secrets of Arcadia?
Secrets of Arcadia is a retro-style dungeon crawler for 1–2 players.
The story follows a journey toward the center of the world to rescue a child used to power a corrupt Utopian civilization. Players fight Ghouls, Goblins, and other enemies while collecting gems to purchase skills and strengthen a character. Five dungeons contain random enemies, gems, and traps. Four characters can equip almost any skill instead of following fixed classes. More than 20 abilities cover melee, ranged, magic, and defensive categories, allowing different combinations for combat. The full game supports two-player local co-op, and gamepads are supported.
