Our take on SANAE's Sylphid Breeze
Players who prefer fixed movesets may hit a wall when SPELL SPOILER becomes central to progression, since success involves inhaling enemies and using their abilities. Those seeking a consistently gentle challenge may also reach that point during boss fights, where BREEZE Mode cannot be toggled.
What is SANAE's Sylphid Breeze?
Guide Sanae Kochiya through a 2D pixel-art platforming adventure around the Moriya Shrine and Gensokyo.
She can dash, jump, slide, and use wind to rise over high platforms and gaps. Her SPELL SPOILER ability lets her inhale enemies and adopt their powers, changing her form as new spells are obtained. The game includes platforming stages, aerial shooting battles, and boss encounters using spell cards. A separate Tengu Rumei Race mini-game has Sanae and Marisa compete on a rugged mountain course. BREEZE Mode reduces incoming damage and can make certain enemies drop health items, but it cannot be changed during boss fights. The story is fully voiced, and the game includes characters from Touhou Project.
