Our take on Sagger

The bounce point arrives when players must act on incomplete battlefield reports rather than direct tactical control. Anyone expecting squad-level commands or a broad empire-building campaign will meet the game’s high-command scope immediately, with the beta status adding another reason for cautious buyers to stop.

What is Sagger?

Sagger is a historical strategy simulator placing the player in the role of Israel’s commander-in-chief during the Yom Kippur War.

Starting on September 13, the game presents battlefield and diplomatic decisions, reports from generals and international leaders, and incomplete information. Orders affect Israeli unit movements and the course of events in real time. Players can follow the historical path or test alternative choices in “what if” scenarios, with outcomes leading toward victory, defeat, or nuclear catastrophe. A knowledge database covers five categories: people, military, history, tactics, and geopolitics. The game also includes a report database and a map based on Israeli staff maps. Sagger is listed as a beta version.
