- Players who dislike restarting from the beginning after game over may bounce at the run reset.

Our take on Roguebreaker
Players who rely on a forgiving arcade pace may hit a wall when rising scores accelerate the ball and pickups increase the challenge. The sharper bounce point arrives after game over, when the entire run and its upgrade progression reset.
What is Roguebreaker?
Roguebreaker combines Breakout-style paddle play with roguelike runs and an 80s-inspired visual theme.
Players clear brick-filled levels, then choose between two upgrades, such as slowing time, pulling the ball back, firing missiles, or tilting the board. Levels come from a preset pool and are randomly selected, while each run offers a different set of upgrade choices. Reaching 10 levels changes the available upgrade set. The ball accelerates as the score rises, and pickups can add multiballs, speed, or score. Game over sends the run back to the beginning. The game includes more than 20 handcrafted levels, with additional player-created maps supported through a custom maps folder. Official workshop support is described as in progress.
How Roguebreaker plays
