Choose from six rodent heroes: Mouse Scout, Capybara Knight, Porcupine Barbarian, Beaver Wizard, Rat Necromancer, and Weasel Swashbuckler. Each has distinct skills, a backstory, and challenges that limit power. Explore seven quest zones presented as mazes, with fog of war, a mini map, interactive dialogue, and a day/night cycle. The game includes more than 50 enemy types, including bosses, with varied stats and abilities.
Materials gained from defeated enemies can be used to craft items, including Epic and Legendary equipment with unique properties. Items can be improved with Symbols or saved as Ancient Relics for a later hero. When a hero is defeated, subsequent heroes receive power bonuses; overcoming challenges raises their potential further.
