Our take on Robot-X
Robot-X departs from a strictly solo retro platformer structure by adding a local co-op partner with a distinct character. It also pairs a forgiving approach to challenge with remixed stages, Boss Rush, and a built-in timer instead of relying only on a single campaign route.
What is Robot-X?
Robot-X is a fast-paced platform shooter about protecting a city from a new danger.
Players run, jump, shoot, cross pits, and fight bosses through roughly 30 levels across about seven areas. More than 10 unique boss battles are included, along with Boss Rush, a Challenge Mode featuring remixed level designs, and a built-in speedrun timer. A second player can join locally with another controller as Tin Can, Robot-X’s sidekick. The game presents a simple plot with additional lore and uses pixel-focused graphics inspired by retro games. Its platform-shooter gameplay is described as challenging but forgiving.
