Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want combat during races may find the focus on drifting, jumps, and cornering techniques limiting.
- Players who want a small set of fixed layouts may tire of navigating technical track variations across four worlds.
- Players looking for multiplayer modes may not find the format they want in the described modes.
Our take on Rise: Race The Future
The likely sticking point is the driving itself: players need to manage precise drifts and combine different techniques around corners. Anyone expecting straightforward acceleration and steering may hit that control demand early.
What is Rise: Race The Future?
Rise: Race The Future is an arcade rally racing game set in the near future.
Its cars use a new wheel technology for drifting across different terrain, including water. Races combine powerslides, jumps, and routes with multiple paths. The game includes 64 challenge races with multiple goals, 8 championships containing 64 races, and a Time Attack mode with a ghost. There are 10 cars, four worlds, three track types, four difficulty levels, and three boost modes. Challenge mode lets players unlock cars. Driving centers on controlling drifts and using boost modes to overtake or exit corners. Tracks mix fast, intermediate, and twisty layouts, with environments that include rain and fog.
