Our take on Rise of Humanity
Rather than treating cards as a separate deck-building layer, the game assigns a card deck to every hero and enemy, making movement, attacks, and defense part of the same tactical system. Its daily mode also replaces a fixed challenge with changing heroes and battle conditions.
What is Rise of Humanity?
Rise of Humanity is a tactical card game where players take alternating turns and build decks in a bleak future ruled by artificial intelligence.
A squad of human survivors faces enemies through cards that enable attacks, evasive moves, travel, and other actions. During story missions, cards may be obtained, improved, and combined as heroes develop. Story Mode sends the team on assignments to defeat the hostile AI. Daily Challenge Mode includes three missions, three randomly chosen heroes, and battle rules that change each day, with rankings tracked daily and monthly. Tilt Five augmented-reality tabletop play is also available. Updates introduce additional characters, foes, settings, cards, missions, battle rules, weather effects, and other content.

Rise of Humanity compared to similar games
Shogun Showdown also combines turn-based combat with deck construction, but it uses attack tiles, combos, skills, and a roguelike structure centered on facing the Shogun. Rise of Humanity instead follows story missions against a rogue AI and adds a daily mode with three missions, randomly selected heroes, and changing battle conditions. Xenonauts focuses on commanding small squads of persistent soldiers during a Cold War-era alien invasion, whereas Rise of Humanity gives individual heroes card-driven actions and deck upgrades.
