The investigation takes place across a large open world with more than 50 caves and other areas for research. Players search dangerous, remote locations for ancient artifacts while encountering enemies with different abilities, riddles, mysteries, and horror elements. The main storyline keeps its explanation until the end. Changes in time of day and weather affect gameplay. The game includes scenic outdoor areas, caves, dungeons, musical accompaniment, and an average duration of more than 4 hours. Ridge was developed using Unreal Engine 4.
