Our take on Rhythm Destruction
Its defining mechanic is the way enemies and objects are destroyed through key presses timed to the soundtrack, while movement and projectile avoidance retain the pressure of a shoot'em up.
What is Rhythm Destruction?
Rhythm Destruction combines shoot'em up movement and combat with rhythm-based input.
Players maneuver through handcrafted stages containing enemies, hazards, traps, and bullet patterns, destroying targets and objects by pressing keys in time with the music. Each of the 10 stages ends with its own boss encounter. The game includes a soundtrack from Oscillator X and other artists, plus support for Xbox and PlayStation controllers. A Casual Mode toggle provides an alternative to the standard challenging gameplay. The first downloadable content pack is available. Online features and leaderboards were discontinued on March 14, 2018.

- 05Controller support

Rhythm Destruction compared to similar games
Intralism focuses on matching arcs to the beat, with player-created beatmaps and online multiplayer, while Rhythm Destruction combines beat-timed destruction with shoot'em up movement, obstacles, bullet patterns, and boss encounters. Rhythm Destruction offers a 10-stage campaign and a Casual Mode rather than Intralism's map editor and global ranking focus.
