Our take on Retail Hell
The defining structure is an endless convenience-store shift in purgatory, where routine retail duties are tied to survival and the mystery of the clerk’s damnation.
What is Retail Hell?
Retail Hell casts the player as the only clerk in a convenience store located between life and death.
Each shift combines shop management with survival: keep coffee brewing, prepare hot dogs, repair equipment, maintain cleanliness, restock shelves, pay taxes, and fulfil strange requests from supernatural customers. Resources can be traded for grisly upgrades, while curses and other threats complicate routine service. The game also includes a mystery about the clerk’s past and the reason for the endless shift, with multiple endings to discover. Endless Mode adds escalating undead demands, extra survival organs, random-item gambling, item recycling for money, run modifiers, seeded runs, leaderboards, and 8 achievements.
