Our take on Redd's Runaway
Procedural enemy waves replace the fixed encounter patterns often associated with arcade run-and-gun stages. The game also moves beyond a single progression path by adding Arcade, Endless, and Boss Rush modes alongside its six boss-ending worlds.
What is Redd's Runaway?
Redd's Runaway is a 2D run-and-gun game about Redd, an orphan trained in magic by a master sorceress.
After her mother is killed, Redd joins the Legion of Sorcerers as Brock City faces an invasion from the Underworld. Combat combines rapid movement, gunplay, spell casting, and immediate switching between spells. Procedurally generated enemy waves bring repeated attacks from dark creatures, while six worlds each end with a giant boss encounter. The game uses a dark visual theme drawing from Halloween and Day of the Dead mythology. It includes Arcade, Endless, and Boss Rush modes, plus abilities that can be unlocked during the fight against the supernatural assault.
