- Players looking for action-focused combat rather than railway management
Our take on Rail Route
The likely sticking point is the move from laying tracks to managing a growing traffic system. Players who are not interested in routing trains or using automation tools may hit that wall as networks expand; Timetable Mode still centers on schedules and dispatching.
What is Rail Route?
Build railway networks across maps inspired by real-world cities, starting with a small set of tracks and stations.
Route trains to manage traffic, then expand the network by upgrading it and unlocking technologies. Sensors and automatic routers let players automate train movements. Endless Mode starts with a blank network to develop at a chosen pace; Timetable Mode presents map-and-schedule puzzles; Rush Hour Mode brings successive dispatching challenges. The game also includes a level editor and more than 2,000 community-made maps. Players can create networks, recreate junctions, and share maps with other players.
How Rail Route plays
- 01Train automation
- Sensors and automatic routers can handle train movements as the network grows.
- 02Three play modes
- Endless, Timetable, and Rush Hour offer open-ended building, schedule puzzles, and wave-based dispatching challenges.
- 03Community map editor
- A built-in editor supports creating and sharing maps, alongside more than 2,000 community-made maps.
