Our take on Race & Destroy
The destructive racing focus adds variety to tournament play, but it narrows the experience for players seeking conventional motorsport competition. Progression also depends on earning money for repairs, upgrades, or replacement cars, tying vehicle improvement to repeated racing.
What is Race & Destroy?
Race & Destroy combines racing with car destruction and progression.
The game begins with an old, slow car, then lets players earn money to repair it, improve it, or replace it. Three tournaments require entry fees, while different maps support different approaches: destroying opponents in an arena, avoiding traffic in suburban streets, or selecting a personal tactic on a speedway. Players can pursue victory through speed or destructive driving. Cars can be customized through upgrades, and the game includes destructible vehicles, tournament customization, computer-controlled opponents, and physics-based driving.
How Race & Destroy plays
- 01Car progression
- Money earned during play can pay for repairs, upgrades, or a replacement vehicle.
- 02Tournament choices
- Three tournaments are available, each requiring an entry fee and allowing customization.
- 03Destruction arenas
- One map type centers on eliminating opposing vehicles rather than simply reaching the finish.
- 04Varied driving tactics
- Suburban courses emphasize traffic avoidance, while speedway tracks leave the approach to the player.
