Our take on Quantum Derelict
The game concentrates on survival systems aboard one damaged ship, trading broad exploration for repeated decisions about resources, drone assignments, repairs, and defense. Its rogue-lite structure also places more emphasis on enduring changing runs than on a single uninterrupted journey through the story.
What is Quantum Derelict?
Quantum Derelict is a rogue-lite survival horror game set aboard a damaged spaceship that jumps unpredictably across space.
Players mine debris, salvage derelict ships, and gather materials for repairs and survival. Scientific drones can collect resources, repair weapons, maintain life support, upgrade communications, and perform other tasks after being recoded. Ship systems and personal health require management while the player searches for rescue and intelligent extraterrestrial life. Turrets and a quantum pulse provide defenses against enemy ships and the cult of VUGSHERYOG. The game includes a Lovecraftian-inspired story, dynamic entities that track the player, craftable drones, rechargeable drone batteries, software upgrades, and a personal journal recording events and discoveries.
