PYTHIAN departs from typical game structure by treating virtual reality as a concert venue rather than a space for combat, puzzles, or progression. Its main format is themed music performance, with audience participation through shared attendance and control of stage lighting.
What is PYTHIAN?
PYTHIAN is an XR experience centered on hard dance music performances.
It presents live virtual events with themed festival environments featuring visual elements such as lasers, fireworks, LED screens, and lighting. A one-hour Masters of Hardcore experience revisits the 2016 Raiders of Rampage theme and includes sets from hardcore artists, with other participants present in the virtual space. The experience also includes event throwbacks that let participants revisit hard dance sets and operate show lighting. Several additional throwbacks are described as in development, including performances connected to Dominator, Masters of Hardcore, Live For This, and Supremacy. A drone-based Dominator Festival experience is identified as coming soon, without a release date.
