What is Public Land Hunter?
Public Land Hunter is a retro hunting simulator focused on scouting and ambushes across procedurally generated maps.
Players examine satellite views, look for signs on the ground, and choose positions before hunting rabbits, grouse, ducks, pigs, or deer. Each animal has different behaviors, such as moving through fields, responding to calls, roaming at night, or traveling between food, water, and bedding areas. Time can be fast-forwarded after setup, reducing waits during a hunt. The camp system adds hunters with different animal and weapon specializations. Completing their tasks unlocks perks and additional hunts. Arcade mode adds high-score pursuits and further unlocks.
