Psionic Sentry: Infinite is a third-person action roguelike built around ranged combat, counterattacks, shield breaking, and random skill choices.
The character uses bows and other skills to fight enemies, while the bow can transform into a scythe to deflect incoming projectiles. Countering every attack in a sequence triggers a combat close-up that deals heavy damage. When an enemy generates a shield, the matching skill must be used to break it; destroying all shields briefly weakens the enemy. Battles also involve observing enemy vulnerabilities and selecting from varied random skills to shape each run. The counterattack timing is intentionally forgiving, making the mechanic central without requiring highly precise execution.
