Our take on Progeria: Vae Victis
Rather than centering the RPG on continuous exploration and direct combat, the game places a 30-day social and scheduling structure around match-three duels. Relationships, gifts, work, training, and alliance building determine how the tournament unfolds.
What is Progeria: Vae Victis?
In a Russian Empire shaped by neofeudalism, the game follows Kirill Yeletsky, a noble student at the Saint Petersburg Academic University of Necromagic.
He must win the imperial necromagic tournament to defend his family against accusations of treason. Over 30 days, decisions determine the story's direction and one of several endings. Players build relationships, exchange gifts, recruit allies, choose battle partners, manage limited spare time, and select armour, weapons, and spells. Duels use a match-three mini-game with loadout and partner choices. Other activities include working as an exorcist to raise funds, training Kirill, gathering student necromages, and joining conflicts between nobles and serfs.
