AdventureIs Prisoner worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Adventure players who want trap avoidance and room-based exploration
- Players who enjoy changing layouts and repeated attempts
- Achievement hunters seeking additional post-game trials
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a fixed, predictable map may hit a wall when room layouts change between visits.
- Players looking for combat-heavy gameplay may bounce off the focus on movement, traps, and escape.
- Players who prefer a short, linear adventure may find the large level structure and unlock-based progression demanding.
Our take on Prisoner
The bounce point arrives when familiar rooms stop behaving consistently. Players who rely on memorizing a fixed route will need to adapt to changing layouts, while those expecting combat encounters may find the trap-focused escape structure too narrow.
What is Prisoner?
Prisoner places the player in a strange Complex made of many rooms.
Each room can change position and layout, so returning to an area may present a different arrangement. Progress involves moving through the Complex while avoiding hazards such as steel blades and laser launchers. The game reveals its levels gradually: discovering two endings opens access to further areas and more difficult trials. After completing the main game, special trials become available with additional rewards and achievements. The listing also includes Steam achievements and controller support.
