Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players looking for a story-led experience may find the focus on solving boards limiting.
- Players who want a changing set of core mechanics may hit a wall with the repeated rotation-and-pattern format.
- Players seeking action-focused gameplay may find the puzzle-solving pace too measured.
Our take on Prismatica
The likely sticking point is the shift from straightforward early puzzles to later boards that are difficult to master. Players who find the rotation-and-pattern system repetitive may also lose interest before reaching those tougher stages; Challenge mode adds speed pressure but keeps the same puzzle premise.
What is Prismatica?
Prismatica is a logic-puzzle game where players rotate multicolored pieces to match a pattern on each board.
Its puzzles take inspiration from Rubik’s Cubes, Sudoku, and dodecahedrons. The controls are straightforward, while later levels become more difficult to master. The game includes 48 handcrafted puzzles to tackle at a relaxed pace, as well as a Challenge mode focused on speed. A color-blind mode is also included. The calm visual style and music by Svavar Knutur accompany the puzzle-solving.
