Our take on PRIMITIVE HEARTS
The Job system gives party building a central role, but that focus requires attention to roles, abilities, and equipment alongside the main adventure. Romance and other decisions also make the story’s outcome depend on choices rather than a single fixed conclusion.
What is PRIMITIVE HEARTS?
Primitive Hearts is a fantasy role-playing game about a traveler who returns to his hometown and joins a struggle over the world’s Crystals.
Following an attack by a creature, he finds a concealed cavern and hears that the world faces danger. The Empire has designs on the Crystals, while a puzzling voice heard during the journey may be tied to the threat. The party crosses multiple regions, battles foes, follows the central story, and takes on optional quests. Characters gain levels, equip gear, and learn abilities. A Job system lets players choose roles and skills, then configure the party for combat. Romantic interests and decisions made along the way affect which ending the story reaches.
