Our take on Powerboat VR
Rather than centering races or combat, the game treats boating as the main activity. It replaces a fixed progression path with open sailing, optional transport work, navigational instruments, and a career that gradually moves from small craft to larger vessels.
What is Powerboat VR?
Powerboat VR is a ship simulator covering vessels from small sport boats to oil tankers, cargo ships, ferries, and motor yachts.
Variable weather, ocean waves, buoyancy, and vessel handling shape each trip. Navigation uses RADAR, GPS, ship lights, and illuminated buoys, including night sailing. Career Mode generates cargo and passenger jobs between islands, with earnings tied to progression from smaller boats toward larger vessels. Free Play provides immediate access to available vessels for exploration or powerboating practice. The game includes VR and non-VR modes, voice commands, configurable traffic with up to 100 vessels, and a map containing 5 islands and 9 ports across 300km2.
