- Players wanting a densely authored world may not prefer the procedurally generated environment
Our take on PostCollapse
The defining constraint is its compressed seasonal cycle: summer and winter each last only a few days, making food and firewood preparation central to surviving the next cold period.
What is PostCollapse?
PostCollapse is a single-player survival simulation set among the ruins left after civilization collapses, with no zombies.
Explore a procedurally generated world covering 120 square kilometers, search buildings, vehicles, and outdoor areas for useful materials, then craft tools, fires, and light sources. Establish a farm with crops such as potatoes and carrots, hunt with a handmade bow, or fish using a constructed rod. A shifting day-and-night cycle changes temperature, visibility, and wildlife behavior. Summer and winter each last only a few days, so food and firewood must be gathered before winter arrives. Any building can become a headquarters for storing supplies and sheltering during cold periods. Sixteen tasks introduce the game's activities.
