Our take on Pocket Rogues
Rather than treating dungeon runs as fixed adventures, Pocket Rogues repeatedly rebuilds locations, enemies, loot, and encounters. Its persistent Guild Fortress adds construction and hero development between descents, combining run-based exploration with an ongoing base-building layer.
What is Pocket Rogues?
Pocket Rogues is a 2D action RPG with roguelike elements and real-time combat.
Players enter randomly generated dungeons, fight monsters, move, dodge, and flank enemies, explore distinct locations, collect loot, and face bosses. Hero classes have different skills, equipment specializations, and development trees. Each descent changes its locations, enemies, rewards, and encounters, while locations also contain traps and interactive objects. Unlocked areas can be visited freely. Outside dungeon runs, the Guild Fortress can be expanded with buildings that open or improve heroes and introduce additional game mechanics. The game combines character progression and exploration with repeated descents into changing environments.

Pocket Rogues compared to similar games
Vagante also focuses on dark-fantasy dungeon exploration with monsters, but Pocket Rogues adds a Guild Fortress for building-based progression and uses real-time combat with multiple developing hero classes. Dungeon Defenders: Awakened combines action RPG systems with cooperative tower defense, whereas Pocket Rogues centers on dungeon descents and fortress development.
