Our take on Poöf
The hybrid design trades a broader strategic or role-playing structure for fast platforming decisions, direct attacks, and time manipulation. Its 108 missions and upgrade system add progression, but the focus remains on repeated monster-wave survival and score chasing.
What is Poöf?
Poöf combines tower defense with platforming action.
Monster waves target a golden egg-laying kitten, while Poöf survives by jumping on enemies or deploying towers and slowing obstacles. Weapons and abilities include fire knives, bombs, freezing wind, and golden eggs that trigger large attacks. Time can be slowed during dangerous moments or accelerated to raise the challenge and score. The game includes 108 missions tied to upgrade unlocks, 36 upgrades covering powers, weapons, enemies, and other elements, and 12 enemy types such as ogres, ghosts, dragons, slug dogs, and giant flies. Ten collectible customization items change backgrounds, music, or character costumes. A worldwide leaderboard and USB game-controller support are also included.

Poöf compared to similar games
Poöf combines platforming movement, jumping attacks, defensive towers, and time control, while Dungeon Defenders: Awakened presents cooperative action RPG tower defense with loot, leveling, pets, and character customization. Anomaly: Warzone Earth also mixes action and strategy, but uses a reversed tower-defense structure in which players confront alien defenses across near-future cities rather than defending a kitten through platforming play.
