Our take on Please Duology
Rather than building tension around combat, these walking simulators put the player in vulnerable-feeling settings without enemies that can cause danger. Their short, atmospheric structure centers on routine maintenance in one story and tunnel exploration in the other.
What is Please Duology?
This collection brings together Please and Please Follow, two short, ambient walking simulators with a combined playtime of under an hour.
In Please, players work as a repair person in an alternate timeline where the war was won, maintaining a power station while disregarding sounds from its main engine. Please Follow places players as a lone surviving soldier in a losing war, exploring tunnels beneath the battlefield and encountering a presence that reveals visions of other worlds. The compilation adds Please Read, a set of more than 20 documents that expand the shared narrative, plus a new secret ending. Both games use low-fidelity graphics and focus on atmosphere; no enemies put the player in danger.
