Our take on Pink Noise
Players looking for sustained action may bounce off the visual-novel structure, particularly when progress depends on choices and story scenes. Those expecting a complete narrative may also hit a wall at the episodic format, with five episodes planned and the first scheduled for 2026.
What is Pink Noise?
In a declining American town, several teens view an unidentified videotape that awakens frightening forces and makes their personal fears real.
Decisions alter friendships, survival, character destinies, and the course of a branching narrative with different endings. Mini-games and other interactive passages add to the visual-novel structure. Hundreds of hand-painted images show moving characters and settings, supported by English performances, an original score, and a 1990s-inspired visual style. Mature material includes psychologically difficult subjects, stylized frightening imagery, self-inflicted death, physical wounds, gore, fatal outcomes, unsettling scenarios, and intense emotional content. The project is intended to span five episodes, beginning with the first in 2026.
