Our take on Piece of Memory
The defining structure is companion-based traversal: Nekokun and the girl must coordinate to cross obstacles that neither character can handle alone.
What is Piece of Memory?
Piece of Memory follows an autonomous drone that crashes onto a ruined antiquity after decades of solar-powered flight.
The drone transforms into a girl and a black cat, and play takes the role of Nekokun, the cat. The opening task is to wake the unconscious girl, then investigate the ruins and gather Pieces of Memory. Movement uses directional cursor prompts, with Ctrl for running and Alt for looking around. Nekokun and the girl must cooperate for certain actions, including climbing steps, crossing ditches, and using ladders. The girl can follow Nekokun after being awakened. Keyboard commands also support drone movement, screenshots, saved games, and viewing collected memories.
How Piece of Memory plays

- 03Directional controls

- 04Memory collection
- Collected Pieces of Memory can be reviewed through a dedicated recollection mode.
- 05Game saving
- Progress can be stored with F9 when the game displays its save prompt.
