Our take on Pedigree Tactics
Instead of treating recruited creatures as a fixed roster, the game puts breeding and inherited abilities at the center of team development. Its turn-based maps also use elemental hazards as tactical conditions, with some creatures able to benefit from them.
What is Pedigree Tactics?
Pedigree Tactics combines tactical role-playing battles with monster breeding.
Players travel through a whimsical fantasy setting and recruit from a cast of over 100 hand-drawn creatures. Each creature has abilities, resistances, and weaknesses tied to 11 elemental types. Battles use turn-based combat on more than 20 maps, where elemental hazards can affect play; a monster that absorbs a hazard’s element may instead receive healing from it. Fusion is central to team development: monsters can be combined to create stronger offspring, which inherit abilities from their parents. Careful breeding can pass any creature any skill. The game supports both controller and mouse-and-keyboard input.
How Pedigree Tactics plays
- 01Monster inheritance
- Fused offspring inherit abilities from their parents, allowing breeding choices to shape a team’s skills.
- 02Elemental map hazards
- Hazards can require tactical adjustments, while a creature aligned with a hazard may gain healing from it.
- 03Dual input support
- The game supports play with either a controller or mouse and keyboard.
